Welcome to our January Vmeals
Newsletter! As 2004 ended we have many things to be thankful for and
are grateful to count so many of you as loyal supporters and users
of the Vmeals service. In fact, since we started in February 2004 we
have booked over 1500 orders! Thank you for your support.
We
heard from Jaymie Mendoza of Network Solutions who told us: “I just
wanted to tell you how Vmeals is great. I love that I can place my
orders in advance and not have to worry about anything going wrong.
Vmeals makes it so easy to cater meetings of any kind and the
restaurants they have are excellent.” Thanks, Jaymie, for your
support. The new look and feel to the Vmeals website was launched in
late October to great acclaim. It really is a nice advance and makes
ordering food even easier. If you haven’t yet seen it, please check
it out.
Finally, we want to bring you up to date on the
latest with our Vmeals Customer Appreciation
Program (VCAP), introduce you to new Providers, and give you the latest on
the Furnari Fund—the charity we
are sponsoring. And, so much more. Read on for the
details…

Our “VCAP” Program Continues

We had 36
winners who won over $1,500 in gift certificates in Q4.
Congratulations to Margaret Garcia of NII Holdings
who won the grand prize Gift Certificate of $200 from Nordstrom.
Plus, some of our winners elected to donate the cash value of their
gift certificate to the Furnari
Fund. Many thanks to all who participated in this
program. We are looking forward to an even bigger first
quarter.
As long time Vmeals customers know, you earn 1 point
for every dollar ordered through Vmeals, which are then converted
into gift certificates ranging from $20-$150. We also have a grand
prize drawing each quarter. Please email dc@vmeals.com for more
information on our rewards program.

Furnari Fund Launches
|

Many of our
loyal customers have heard us talking about the Furnari Fund
for Breast Cancer Prostheses. This charity is designed to
help women of limited means afford the acquisition of prosthesis
after a mastectomy. Well, we are now official! We achieved our
status as a charity on October 28, 2004 and immediately began
accepting contributions.
Our business plan called for us to
raise $15,000 by the end of 2005. Within a few days of our official
launch, we had $7,500 deposited. Then, we launched the Fund with a
gala party at SAIC offices in Tysons Corner on November 30. We had
over 60 people attend and raised $5,000! Two business units of SAIC
agreed to donate $5,000 each, so we have already exceeded our 2004
and 2005 fundraising goals. Included in our contributions were $210
from seven VCAP customers who elected to forgo their gift
certificates in lieu of a contribution to the Fund. We are thankful
and grateful for all of this support.
And, the best news is
that we have already been able to help two breast cancer survivors
acquire a prosthesis. This is the most gratifying part of being
associated with the fund.
All of this was possible due to the
hard work of the Fund’s volunteers which include Charlene Furnari
and Donna Walcott, both of SAIC and Rita Northup and David Mowbray
of Point, Click, Eat, LLC, the “Washington DC area Vmeals
representative”. These two organizations are the official corporate
sponsors of the Fund.
More information on the fund, including
contribution forms is at www.furnarifund.org. |
